幡ヶ谷のアメリカンヴィンテージトイショップ・RUSSET BURBANKのショップカードをデザインいたしました。置いてある状態は普通のショップカードですが、手に取ることでカード自体が斜めになっていたことに気が付き視覚的なバグが起こります。取り扱うおもちゃたちのように一癖あるカードを目指しました。
RUSSET BURBANKの名前の由来でもあるマクドナルドのポテトの品種名からインスピレーションを受け、ジャガイモのデンプン成分を利用して作られたざらざらな手触りが特徴的なキュリアスマターという用紙を使用しています。裏は海外のレシートのような書体を選定。また、空押し加工でロゴを裏から浮き上がらせた黒の箔押しを施し、シンボリックなカードに仕上げている。

Designed a shop card for the American vintage toy shop RUSSET BURBANK in Hatagaya. The shop card is just an ordinary shop card, but when you pick it up, you realise that the card itself is slanted, which causes a visual bug. I aimed to create a card that is as quirky as the toys it handles.
Inspired by the name of the McDonald's potato variety, which is also the origin of the RUSSET BURBANK name, we used a paper called Curious Matter, which has a characteristic rough texture and is made from the starch component of potatoes. For the reverse, a typeface like that of foreign receipts was selected. The card is also stamped in black foil with the logo raised from the back by a blank stamping process, creating a symbolic card.
